How to Apply for a Student Visa :
You must fill out visa application form VAF 1. You can apply online at the UK government visa website (www.ukvisas.gov.uk) or in person at your nearest British mission overseas that has a visa section. You must apply for a visa in your home country or at any visa-issuing office and also by mail or courier. You will need to fill in a visa application form (VAF 1 – Non-settlement).

To qualify for a study visa :
Nationals from 10 non-visa countries (Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Africa, South Korea and United States) now need an entry clearance if they are staying longer than six months. You also need a visa if you are a national from these countries (click here to see the list), do not have a nationality, have a non-national travel document which does not give you the nationality of the country that issued it, or have a passport issued by an authority not recognized in the UK.
